What Are Your Expectations for the Future?

Why do you think everyone has different expectations and beliefs about what they can achieve in the future? I know you are expecting a really profound answer here, but I am afraid the answer is really simple. Your most prominent thoughts drive your expectations. So what you think about, actually does affect the way things turn out in the future. Your thoughts really do have an incredible effect on your life and how it will turn out.
When last did you invest some time to ensure that your thoughts are positive and that you are in a positive mental state, where you consistently reflect a positive attitude to the world?
Your thoughts create Everything in your Life
It has been common knowledge for many years that your thoughts do indeed drive your success or lack thereof. In fact many of the greatest self-improvement books ever written, focused on the power of your thoughts. The titles that come to mind are titles like 'Think and Grow Rich", "As a man Thinketh" "The magic of thinking big" and "The power of positive Thinking" and many, many more. It has been proven many times over that what you regularly think about, you most certainly bring about.
Are you making a fatal Mistake?
The most common error made by most people, who set goals is that they use their thoughts to turn the creative process against them. For example, we are extremely averse to losing things. So when you set a goal to lose weight, you are setting yourself up for failure. Rather set a positive goal in the present tense, something like "I come alive at 95", or "looking great at 58". This positive reinforcement allows you to view your goals as something positive and something you want to take action to achieve.
Another fatal mistake is setting a goal around the things you don't want. For example if you want to live debt free. "You set a goal like I will be debt free by a certain date" This means that your goal is focused squarely on what you don't want in your life. Again you are not creating a positive feeling and set of emotions around your goals. Rather set goals like "I will create a positive net asset value, by certain date". This allows you to focus on taking positive actions to achieve a positive outcome.
Avoid the common mistakes of focusing on the negative, or on setting goals where you must lose something and rather focus on creating a positive vision of what you want to create in the future.

Action Idea: Allow yourself to get centered, grounded and look around your world, see all the wonderful abundance, which exists in you and all around you. This mind-set is best supported, when you explore your world, appreciating all the wonder that you already possess. I must once again affirm the importance of feeling gratitude for everything in your world, as it puts you in a far better place and mind space, where it is far easier to think and believe in all the positive possibility, which abounds.
Clear Negative Thoughts from your Mind
When you focus on gratitude and you set only positive goals. It is far easier to stop negative thoughts and the natural doubts, which flow through your mind all the time. It becomes far easier to redirect your thoughts towards abundance and to see all the wonderful opportunities all around you. Focus on the positive, be aware of the negative, but ensure that this does drive your expectation and you will be able to invite more abundance into your experience. This will will allow you to experience far more well-being, meaning, fulfilment, love and joy in your life.

Productivity - Changing "Harder, Not Smarter" to "Smarter, Not Harder"

Google "UK Productivity" and you will get responses like
· Why is productivity so low since the crisis - particularly in the UK?
· UK workers' productivity stuck below pre-crisis level - Financial Times
· UK productivity hits new lows
· It's not just the gig economy, we need to rethink work in the UK
· Worst decade for UK productivity since Napoleon
Our productivity levels are 16% lower than all G7 countries, 22% lower than the USA and France and 26% lower than Germany. This despite working more hours than almost every country in the EU. The only countries working more are Austria and Greece.
Is your productivity the same as most people in the UK? What would it mean if you improve your productivity? More success? More praise? Spend less time at work? Earn more money, larger house, better car, enjoy a better work life balance, realise your long term goals faster?
How can you do this? If you are going to change "harder, not smarter" into "smarter, not harder" you might like to consider;
· Developing the right motivation,
· Focusing your efforts
· Managing your time effectively
· Prioritising ruthlessly
· Communicating more effectively
· Empowering your team and delegating like a pro.

All play their part and I am planning to look at all of them this summer. Let's start with motivation and the importance of building your internal drive. Your internal motivation is way more powerful than the external motivators fear and reward.
It just needs switching on and one of the most effective ways to do this is to identify goals that are meaningful, worthwhile and personal. Most people do this to some extent but don't really think things through. If you have a goal with no plan it's really just a wish. Think things through and take a systematic approach to goal planning.
Start off with a SMART goal (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Tangible). Make it something you really, really want then write it down using positive language in as few words as possible. The writing down is a key part of the process, it makes a connection between you and the goal. Think about the benefits achieving the goal will bring. Now ask yourself "If I really want to achieve this goal, what's stopping me?" then plan strategies around, over or through all the stoppers you have thought of.
Okay so far? Great! If you have got this far you have achieved more than most people I have met this year. So far you have your goal clearly identified and have strategies to overcome the stoppers. What you need to turn it into reality is a step by step plan.
Think of the activities you must take, put them in order and schedule them in whatever calendar, task list or time planner you use. Hey presto, you have a plan to achieve your goal. Now start, do the activities in order for the right amount of time and work at them till you finish. Remember to keep track of progress at regular intervals and you stand the best chance of success.

The Only Way to Feel Good

"Even if I am locked in a prison cell and hated by the entire world, my spirit can still be that of a king." - Daisaku Ikeda
It seems too simple, I know. It's so simple that we want to make it more difficult, more esoteric. However, the simple truth is that the only way to feel good is to think thoughts that feel good.
Likewise, the only way to feel bad is to think thoughts that feel bad. It really is that straightforward.
Because our thoughts produce our feelings, what we choose to think determines how we feel. Please notice it's what we choose to think. Sometimes it doesn't feel like we're choosing our thoughts because negative momentum appears to be choosing our thoughts for us.
Negative momentum may at times feel like a runaway train. We may even be tempted to believe those negative thoughts. However, at any moment, we can consciously choose to think a thought that feels better. Even if we choose a thought that feels just a little bit better, we have stopped the negative momentum and we're re-focused in a more positive direction.
We often want to blame other people or external circumstances for our bad mood. We think, "if only he / she / it would change, I would feel good." Alas, it's up to us. And that is where our power lies.
We are guaranteed to feel bad if we think thoughts that feel bad. Likewise, we're guaranteed to feel good if we think good feeling thoughts.
Feeling good really is as easy as thinking thoughts that feel good [or a little bit better], focusing on things that are easy to appreciate and thinking of others who are easy to love. In this way, we begin climbing back up the emotional scale. Isn't it nice to know we have the power to choose how we feel!
Here's the process: We stay present and notice how we're feeling. When we notice we're not feeling the way we want to feel, we take that as information. Information - NOT that we've done something wrong or that we're in some way flawed - but information that we're thinking thoughts that don't serve us. Once we become aware of our negative thoughts, we can then begin choosing thoughts that feel better.
Some days it seems more difficult than others, but it's always the same process:
*Stay present and notice how you feel.
*Consciously choose thoughts that feel better.
*Voila, your vibration rises and you're a vibrational match to your desires!
It is simple and it does work, but it also takes practice. As we practice choosing thoughts that feel good and we get in the habit of feeling good, pretty soon feeling bad will be so unacceptable that, at the first hint of negative emotion, we'll nip it in the bud and get back to our natural state of well-being.
We all want to feel good and, thankfully, the Law of Attraction teaches us how to do that. We know how to feel good and we have the power to feel good. What could be better than that!
