Communication: How To Be A Great Marketer in Business and Love

When it comes to business and love, marketing through communication are not dis-similar! Read on below, from T Harv Eke for more insight and a perspective you may not have thought about before!
A lot of business owners shy away from marketing because they view it as a gross, inauthentic way to trick people. But marketing is totally natural, and all of us use it every day.

One of the biggest places marketing shows up is in our personal lives. For example, let’s look at the similarities between marketing a business and marketing yourself in dating.

Marketing is the most important skill in business. But just like any relationship, it has to be done right.

The Bigger the Why, the Easier the How

When people tell me they struggle with motivation, what I hear is that they don’t actually know what’s pushing them forward. After all, once you find your why, it’s easy to stay grounded, focused, and ready. If you’re still struggling with how you’re going to achieve your dreams, let me explain today why taking a step back and examining why you want to achieve them is the best thing you can do.

Find Your Why, and the How Will Be Easy

I have a friend who struggles with weight. Her intention to lose the weight is honest and sincere. She goes to the gym regularly, participates in multiple softball leagues, and does constant reading on diet trends, trying anything that might work. However, eventually the diet falls by the wayside even if the activities don’t, hence her progress fluctuates.
When I asked what the motivation was for wanting to lose the weight it was, “I’m disgusted with myself.”
While pain can sometimes be an effective motivator, how about something a little more…self-supportive? I don’t know… like looking forward to the day you go to the beach and show off? That why sounds a little more compelling and positively motivating, doesn’t it?

Your Why Is Your Motivation
Everyone’s motivation is going to be different, no matter the goal, but whatever that why is, it better be powerful. It’s got to be emotional. Hey, sometimes it might even be reacting in a moment of total freak-out. Whatever that trigger is, make it mean something to you! If you have a good enough reason, you’ll figure out a way how, won’t you?
I have another friend who quit smoking almost a year ago now, cold turkey. He had smoked for over 10 years. People, including me, were surprised and proud, and we all wondered how he did it. He didn’t use a patch or gum. There were no electric fake cigarettes. He said it was easy. Why? He looked in the mirror one day and saw a small lump on his neck, in a lymph area.
That lump prompted him to flash forward to imaginary moments of telling his friends and family that he had cancer. He thought about what it would be like to put them through watching him disintegrate, maybe suffer. He thought about the pain, guilt, and helplessness of those who wouldn’t have the strength to deal with all of that.
That small lump turned out to be only a garden-variety in-grown hair, but it was enough. He broke his last cigarettes in half and that was that. He had found his why.

Make Your How Easy

When you have a big enough reason, your how will come easily. Let your why explain your clear and powerful reasons. That’s what’s going to allow you to be willing to do whatever it takes.
Remember, your why has to be stronger than those non-supportive beliefs you’ve been working on. One of these harmful beliefs I often hear is, “Rich people are greedy.”
Well great! You don’t wanna be broke, but “rich people suck,” and your freaking rent’s due. Fortunately, with a strong enough why, you can shake yourself out of these incorrect and harmful mindsets. A strong why will give you a strong purpose for pursuing money or whatever else really matters to you.
What was one of the biggest challenges or obstacles that you faced in your life, and how did you find your why in that situation? Was it life or death? Absolute need for safety or survival? Would a less desirable outcome have negatively impacted someone you care about? It’ll be interesting to see how many people were motivated to act when someone else would be affected by actions or non-actions.

5 Powerful T. Harv Eker Quotes You Need for Unlimited Success

T. Harv Eker is the author of the best-seller, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. He also appeared in The Secret and his work has positively impacted millions around the world.
His journey wasn’t perfect and success was far from overnight. After many years of frustration, he sold his fitness brand to a Fortune 500 corporation and became a millionaire. Less than two years later he was broke.
Instead of staying down he studied psychology and retrained his “financial blueprint.” He vowed that he if ever got rich again he would help others achieve financial success. Not only has he succeeded financially but he kept his promise to help inspire millions around the world.

Here are five T. Harv Eker quotes to help retrain your mind and create the life you deserve.

“If you are willing to do only what’s easy, life will be hard. But if you are willing to do what’s hard, life will be easy.” — T. Harv Eker

Anything great in life shouldn’t be easy to accomplish. Don’t be scared of going after the hard things in life, be worried when everything feels easy. The more work you put in now the easier it will be in the future.

“Successful people have fear, successful people have doubts, and successful people have worries. They just don’t let these feelings stop them.” T. Harv Eker

Successful people have the same emotions as everyone else. The only difference is how they react and don’t let these emotions decide their future. Don’t be afraid to feel the fear and take massive action anyway. The more you pursue what is scary the less it will happen.

“If you want to move to a new level in your life, you must break through your comfort zone and practice doing things that are not comfortable.” T. Harv Eker

Human beings love their comfort zone. It’s why people stay in jobs they don’t like and settle for mediocrity. But, if you can get in the habit of pushing yourself outside your comfort zone on a consistent basis you will grow exponentially. If you want life to change chances are you have to change.
This could be your mindset, work ethic, and belief or a combination of all three. Challenge yourself to leave your comfort zone every single day and watch your confidence levels soar.

“The biggest obstacle to wealth is fear. People are afraid to think big, but if you think small, you’ll only achieve small things.” T. Harv Eker

It takes no more effort to think and dream big than it does to think small. Don’t get caught up in realistic or attainable goals. Create a goal or vision that will inspire and motivate you to become someone you currently are not. Don’t be afraid to dream big!

“20% of your activities produce 80% of your results.” T. Harv Eker

The 80/20 rule, known as the Pareto Principle, is evident with all successful people. They focus on the activities that get the most results — you should do the same. Eliminate what doesn’t help you move the needle toward your goals.

“If you are insecure, guess what? The rest of the world is too. Do not overestimate the competition and underestimate yourself. You are better than you think.” T. Harv Eker

It’s important to never compare yourself to anyone but your former self. Everyone has a different story, don’t compare your journey with theirs. Have confidence in yourself that you will succeed.
Use these T. Harv Eker quotes to create the life you envision for yourself. No matter where you are in life you can always come back like T. Harv Eker did. Once you start believing in yourself anything is possible.
