Success and Winning Changes Everything

Success is the sum of all our small efforts. Winning isn't fast and easy. Our life is built one brick at a time and one moment at a time. But we can develop a wining attitude so that we can win.
Winning is something that builds us physically and mentally every day. You must be prepared for a roller coaster ride to win though. But that is to be expected, because winning is for the hard worker and for someone who wants it bad enough.
There are moments in life when you arrive at a crossroads. Either you keep doing the same thing with the same results or you change your life and do something completely different. Winners do the latter. Winners make a decision to win.
However, to win you must make quite a few small and some not so small tweaks in your life.
First, you have to choose your friends wisely. If they are putting you down all the time and pulling you off your path, you will never win. There is a chance that those friends are losers and want you to be as well so that they can feel comfortable hanging out with you.
Second, don't spend your time in worthless pursuits such as bar hopping or hanging out until all hours of the night. You are too busy and focused for this. This drains your energy and turns you into a loser.
Third, be focused on your goal-whatever it is. Success is commitment to the process. Successful people just put in the time honing their skills and getting better all the time. They are willing to do the work.
Fourth, winners don't expect to get easy rides. They know that it will be hard work. But they believe that it is worth it, and they are willing to put in the time and energy and make the sacrifices necessary.
Fifth, remember, you won't see results right away so don't expect them. But realize that once you are successful for a while, you will be propelled to continue to work hard until you win.
Sixth, there is no magic pill to be successful. Anyone who is willing to work hard will win. So, therefore, if you work hard, you too will win. You just must believe in yourself and trust the process.
Successful know how to win. They put in the hard work and they are willing to be focused on their goal to such an extent that they won't let anything get in the way of their pursuing it. Are you ready for the challenge? Can you decide to work past small burps in the road to your destination? All it takes is the will to win, and once you develop this will, your life will change forever.

Humanity Suffers From Limiting Beliefs

For centuries now, human beings have perpetuated and disseminated certain limiting beliefs that result in limiting attitudes and behaviors. As a result, humanity has for centuries transmitted and preserved beliefs that only damage us as a species. Instead of uniting us and making us stronger, they weaken us. Only by identifying, questioning and changing those beliefs will humanity advance into a new and more accepting existence.
Let me give you an example. Most human beings consider theirs one of the best, if not THE best culture in the world. Many people believe things such as...
  • Mine is the best culture in the world.
  • My culture transmits values, principles and virtues like no other culture.
  • Many of the traditions in my culture make us better than others
When new human beings are then born into one of those cultures, they learn to despise others, even though they originally had no choice at all where to be born. They will antagonize others, just based on those beliefs. And might even feel great insecurity or anxiety if anybody then proves them wrong.
That's the way in which conflict and crises are created. There are many of those limiting beliefs transmitted from generation to generation. Some examples are:
  • My culture and inherited worldview hold THE truth
  • Only those adhering to my culture are right
  • Only WE are the chosen ones. All others are less than us
  • We are whom we were born to be. By being born where we were born, we are superior to others because our culture offers us some principles, views or beliefs that make us better
  • Success is humanity's ultimate goal
  • Human beings need to be important. We need to strive and to always try and be better
  • Life is a race we need to run
  • Life is hard
When two people from different cultures but with the same belief meet, both are convinced that theirs is the superior one. By trying to prove the other one wrong, conflict arises. And because they firmly believe their opinion, they try to prove their views superior and try to convince the other person of their mistake.

By perpetuating certain beliefs, we also perpetuate limitations and conflict.
This doesn't need to be like this, though. Human beings have a choice. They can choose to modify the beliefs they transmit just a little bit so that they are not that limiting. Instead of: "Life is a race we need to run," the belief can be something like, "Life can be a race to run." Instead of: "My culture and inherited worldview hold THE truth," it could be, "my culture and inherited worldview hold my truth." Or even, instead of: "Life is hard." something like, "life can be hard or not". Just those changes in the wording open new possibilities. By not being so limiting, we give the next generation permission to question the rigidity of their beliefs and the choice to accept others more easily, thus helping humanity come to an understanding.
I know this approach will need some time, some generations, to become a reality. But no road is walked without taking a first step. I wish my little reflexion here today could help you take that tiny first step by making you at least think about this and about your own limiting beliefs from a slightly different perspective.
If you then discover that your own beliefs are limiting you, ask yourself how to change the way in which you express them every day when talking with others, with your children or any other children still growing, with others in society, with your peers and friends. Ask yourself how to contribute by planting the new seed of a less limiting belief that can grow into your culture. When somebody expresses a limiting cultural belief, offer a less rigid one instead so a little hope can be shared. We can all change those beliefs step by step, seed by seed, word by word. Help yourself and help generations to come do away with some of our obstacles, limitations and conflicts. Redefine your own beliefs.
I encourage you to consider and approach some more ideas:
  • Replace limiting and sentencing words from your beliefs. Instead of saying, always, never, everyone, nobody, and so on, open your expression to wider terms such as, occasionally, seldom, most people, just some, and others.
  • When speaking, be it with adults or children, add an extra layer of flexibility to your words. Leave a door open to doubt. After all, no human being knows it ALL; no human being has lived it ALL. Thus, begin expressing your beliefs by declaring that they are YOUR beliefs but there could be others as valid as yours.
  • Ask yourself what is limiting you, what obstacles you face in life and check how you talk about them to yourself. There's very likely room for changes in the way you speak to yourself too.
  • When thinking about the supremacy of your culture, remember that all other great cultures in history were finally replaced by newer ones. Question the historical basis of your belief. Question your beliefs from their roots.
  • Give yourself permission to doubt. Allow doubt in others, too.
  • Look for and define beliefs that trigger positive instead of negative feelings, thoughts and emotions in you.
  • Give yourself permission to learn and continue growing.
Enjoy life, ALL of it,

Zing Up Your Life With These Positive Thinking Exercises

It is said that tough times never last, but tough people do. One often wonders what is the driving force behind their infallibility. Come to think of it, one reason could be optimism. Otherwise, it would have been impossible for people to come out trumps after dealing with difficult situations in their lives. Almost all have encountered tough and frustrating phases in their lives. However, it is necessary to cut out the negativity, and this can be achieved by indulging in some positive affirmations. It is not to say that only if one is going through a period of wreckage everywhere, one should follow these techniques and it would get them out of the mess. Instead, these exercises have to be done regularly to enable one to tackle the good as well as bad times and that too with a balanced state of mind.

It is believed that one's thoughts govern one's words, which reaches the brain, and then, the brain converts those into actions. Hence, one should guide his/her thoughts towards something positive if they are tending towards depression and negativity, because that would have an impact on how one behaves. One can visualize a positive image and think about the things that make one happy, and try to keep the negativity in check.

One should always try to use positive words while talking. Never say 'I can't'. One should just believe that he/she can or he/she would try their hardest or give their best. Thus, one would have to push themselves towards it. Constantly say things to yourself like, 'I can', 'I will', 'I believe in myself'. Another aspect is to play around with words that make one happy and instils confidence in them. Make sure that the words used evoke power and a sense of achievement.

If one mutters affirmations just for the sake of doing so, it would all be futile. For these affirmations to work, one would have to believe in themselves. One should have the faith that he/she would succeed and that one would get what he/she wants. Better still, just believe that one has got there.

Usually, people tend to crib about what went wrong. Instead, one should be grateful for all the good things that he/she has got and then see the difference. One should begin their day with a big thank you in advance, for the wonderful day that has come. This is a very effective method to infuse positivity in our lives.
One should make a list of all the things that one wants in their life and visualize how he/she is going to get them. One should justify to himself/herself as to why one deserve these things and why one is going to get these things. One should focus on the reasons for him/her getting it, instead of why he/she might not get it.

They say that every coin has two sides. Each situation of one's life is also like that. It is just that sometimes only one side is perceived. Of course, unfortunate things do happen. However, one should try to see what could have happened and what has been a positive outcome of that unfortunate incident. See the good part, as every cloud has a silver lining.

One should indulge in some activity everyday, which would makes him/her happy and aid in forgetting about all the worldly worries and tensions of mere mortals. It could be hitting a gym, joining a dance or music class, listening to music, reading a book, cooking or anything under the sun. Once the relaxing effect of these activities, trickles down, one would get into that positive mode. This is one of the most easiest tips.
