How to Nail This One Step of the Law of Attraction

I realized something pretty interesting the other day. Yes the energy we put out comes back to us, but there is something much deeper going on underneath the surface. If you can nail this one law of attraction step, you will truly step into a place of being able to create more of your dreams!
There is a lot of discussion on how what we put out comes back to us. From an energetic perspective. So if we are feeling overwhelmed or stressed out, we will get back more in our life to be overwhelmed and stressed out about, like unexpected bills, getting stuck in traffic, clients having issues, etc. On the flip side, if we are relaxed and happy, we receive more back that makes us feel relaxed and happy, like new opportunities, finances increasing, a surprise from a loved one, etc.
BUT... here's the kicker...
It's not that these things are magically showing-up, we're creating them! And I'm talking about this being deeper than just the law of attraction (LOA). Per the LOA, if you're miserable, you will attract more into your life to be miserable about.
<< As an aside, a mentor once explained the whole attraction thing like this and it made perfect sense. It's not so much that you're attracting these things into your life and they're magically appearing, they're already there. It's more about what you're seeing. So if you're saying that you want success, but deep down you don't feel worthy enough, you're putting out an unworthy energy.
You will not see the solution that is already there to create the success you're wanting because your energy doesn't match it. You literally will not see the next step or opportunity that is right there waiting for you. You will miss it. You need to feel worthy and positive in order to see the solution. Since the solution is positive, you need to feel positive to see it and receive it. >>
It's all about the feeling.
So now back to my revelation.
I am going to take the above concept even further. It's more than just operating on the same frequency as what you are asking for, i.e. more peace, love, abundance, etc.
It's that you're making decisions from this place.
Your decisions have energy.
So when you are overwhelmed, you are really attracting / seeing, whatever you want to call it, more decisions that are in alignment with that energy.
It's the decision that is causing what you are creating.
If you're overwhelmed, you will make decisions from this place. You're thinking at a low vibration and therefore so are your decisions. You continue to take on more then you should, you have poor boundaries, you don't give yourself enough time, you are making yourself crazy with plans! These poor decisions keep you in overwhelm. It goes round and round, until you become aware of it and make a different, more empowered choice.
By contrast, if you're feeling relaxed and happy, you make decisions from this place. You decide to do more that brings you joy and peace. You make more time for yourself, and what you love (like exercising & meditating), and you are conscious about how you are spending your time. You are making empowered decisions that lead to empowered results.
And here's the real gem. Wait for it... YOU LET GO EASIER!
Of the drama, the stories that keep you in other people's business, the gossip, the high expectations and the hurt feelings.
You let go of this stuff sooo much faster - the expression "letting it roll off your back" rings true. If you even realize it's on your back to begin with.
Hmm.
So let's look at A) how you're feeling deep down, and B) how you're making decisions. Shift the decision, shift the energy, shift what you're creating.

You Can Oppose What You're Experiencing or Create a Better Outcome

Create Space Between Your Problems And Your Thoughts
What is troubling you in your life right now? Has it been occupying your time and energy? Sometimes, no sooner than we have dealt with an issue, another one emerges and we wonder when it will ever end. What is going on that we keep experiencing problems and resistance? Are they real problems or an opportunity to heal aspects of our life that need attention? I realise these questions may be difficult to answer in the short space of this article, however if we don't make time to examine our lives, we're likely to be drawn into the chaos and drama. There are many reasons problems occur. Some of them relate to childhood wounds, while other times problems arise because of other people's actions imposed upon us. Whether it is intrinsic or extrinsic forces, problems force us to pay attention to what is taking place within us.
Do you believe challenges occur for no clear reason or because there are greater lessons embedded in the experience? Your answer will dictate whether you stay mired in your problems or see them as vital clues to your life's purpose. Often, our first impressions are not truthful because we're responding to the chaos instead of what needs to be attended to. Have you noticed this before? For example, I've observed this theme in my life and now wait for a clearer picture to unfold before overreacting. Most times, what I believed was a problem turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Can you relate to this with a recent experience? What we're responding to is what psychologists call catastrophising, depicted in our response when we receive a speeding ticket. However, if we step back from the drama, we might realise we were rushing about our lives and need to slow down to the speed of life.
What we need is to create space between our problems and our thoughts. It's hard to distance ourselves because fear and other disempowering emotions have a way of convincing us things are worse off than they seem. As you know, this is one way of looking at it but it is not what is taking place. It might be helpful to consult with those you trust such as loved ones and ask for an unbiased perspective. It's easy to get caught up in our problems and soon enough we're seized by it, without solving it. Nowadays, when problems emerge, I will consult a few close friends whom I trust with their opinion. I reflect upon their advice and allow myself some space to consider the problem from a different perspective. This allows me to engage my creative brain to find a perfect solution when I least expect it.
Take Consistent Action, Even The Smallest One
Have you experienced this: where you forgot about a pressing issue and while taking a shower or during a walk, the perfect solution emerged? This is testament that opposing our problems seldom yields a solution. This is because opposing and reacting to something limits our potential to solve the problem. We perceive it through one lens instead of a multitude of possibilities. There are infinite possibilities to solve your problems and I know you may find it hard to believe, especially when the problem is consuming you. Distancing yourself from it will help you gain a greater perspective of what action you need to take. Are you feeling better about this? Can you see how when problems arise we may not need to take any action unless it is warranted? Perhaps the issue relates to our own thinking and we must clear out our thoughts before attending to the problem itself. Consider the advice of author and Jungian analyst James Hollis who writes in What Matters Most: Living a More Considered Life: "Ask yourself of every dilemma, every choice, every relationship, every commitment, or every failure to commit, "Does this choice diminish me, or enlarge me?" That is, are your choices empowering you or contracting you?
Finally, we ought to focus on small improvements when faced with problems since this is the gateway to greater solutions. For example, you may find you gained weight over the Christmas holidays and find it difficult to get back to your routine of healthy eating and exercise. Subsequently, the more you focus on it, the angrier you become. What if you made the tiniest of improvements every day such as walking around the block or eating half a candy bar instead of a full one? What I'm alluding to, is that taking consistent action, however small, creates waves of momentum to overcome our inertia. Considering this, reflect on the problem I asked you about earlier and come up with three strategies to tackle it. Don't think big, think small. What is the smallest action you can take every day to solve it? Once you've come up with three solutions, choose one you can commit to and begin it at once. Doing something small can help us feel better than trying to find a grand solution that may take weeks or months. After all, if we continue to resist our problems, we leave little room for an improved outcome, when all along it may have been staring us in the face.

You CAN Control the Outcome in Your Life!

Harmony in the world within. That's the goal. The key. When you have that, you have the ability to control your thoughts and...
... to determine for yourself how any experience is going to affect you.
Think about it!
You are related to the world without by nothing other than the Objective Mind. And your brain is the physical organ of this mind. Likewise, you are related to the world within by the Subconscious Mind. The solar plexus is the organ of this mind. This system of nerves presides over all subjective sensations, such as joy...
... fear...
... love...
... anger...
and imagination.
The Universal Mind is the consciousness pervading the entire universe...
... occupying all space and...
... being the same in kind in every point of existence.
It is all powerful...
... all wisdom...
... and always present.
It is all in all. You might know all of that. And it goes even further. You are connected to Universal Mind through the Subconscious Mind. In this way you are brought into relation with the infinite constructive forces of the Universe.
Read that again.
The.
Infinite.
Constructive.
Forces.
Of.
The.
Universe.
Your consciousness is part of Universal Consciousness like a drop of water is part of the ocean. While it is like in kind, it is not "the ocean." But that's okay because the consciousness that focuses in your brain cells is the same consciousness that focuses in the brain cells of everyone else. And that's huge because each one of us -- you, me, your neighbor down the street, Elon Musk -- is but an individualization of the Universal.
The world within is the cause. The world without is the effect. Thus, to change the effect you must...
... change the cause.
Most people attempt to change effects by working with effects. They keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again. And the effects keep producing more of the same effects.
So what are you to do?
Simple. Change the cause! Work on your world within. Attain harmony in your world within. When you understand this, you will have the power to control the effects in your life. You will begin to substitute abundance for poverty...
... health for sickness...
... wisdom for ignorance...
... harmony for discord, and...
... freedom for tyranny.
You will create the outcomes in your life that you want and desire.
Cease being a plaything of destiny!
Declare your own path!
Clear your own way!
Think!
And you will win.

Tips for Thinking Clearly When Facing Difficult Challenges

I'm sure you've had times in your life when you wondered how you were going to get through.
But the fact is, if you are reading this article, you obviously got through whatever challenge was facing you. You may have judgement about how well you handled whatever it was you were stuck on, but you can't deny that you got through!
How did you do it?
How might you have done it better...or at least believe you did it better, so as to generate less judgment within yourself about how you did it?
Understanding how you perceive, process, and respond to crisis, or any challenging situation, is vital to moving forward and being able to handle these types of situations as well as you possibly can.
So, let's take a look.
One thing you may have observed about yourself in crisis is that it's often difficult to think clearly when you're highly challenged by how things are happening around you.
It'd difficult to think clearly when what is happening is different from What you expected or how you wanted things to go.
Perhaps you were busy saying to yourself, "This can't be happening!", or "Oh no, I can't possibly handle this!", or even, "I'm going to die!"
When your brain goes into denial mode, and then moves quickly into survival mode, it's difficult to get a clear picture of what's actually going on in the situation, or what to do about what's happening.
Albert Ellis, noted psychologist, speaker, and author refers to the phenomenon as "awful-izing." It's the Oh-my-god, Oh-my-god, Oh-my-god chatter that goes on in your brain when you're overwhelmed and feeling out of your league in finding a way out of whatever situation you're in.
But this type of thinking mentally gets in your way and interferes with clarity of focus, attention, and problem-solving capability. Once the primal, reptilian brain is activated, the decisions you make are geared toward keeping you safe.
Decisions made out of this mind-set are automatically generated to insure survival and do not involve much conscious thought. They are a knee-jerk reaction to a felt sense that you are in danger. And whether you are actually in danger or not, the behaviors that come from this process are an assumption that there is a real threat to your safety that must be handled...right now!
How can you get around this mechanism?
First, let me be clear that I am not suggesting you ignore truly dangerous situations. The primal reflexes are hard-wired into us for a reason.
There is nothing abnormal or pathological about an initial knee-jerk reaction to something. If there is a real threat to your safety, this mechanism allows you to react without having to think about it first.
That's really important if you might die in the next 5-10 seconds!
And there is no technique in the world that will override that initial survival mechanism. (Try not jerking your leg when the doctor hits the front of your knee with a mallet!)
But, you can refrain from hitting the doctor!
When the first 5-10 seconds have passed and you aren't dead or seriously injured, here are some tips for managing your primal brain and allowing yourself access to the rational, cognitive portion of the brain which is much better suited to assessing (after the immediate gut reaction) whether a challenging situation is truly dangerous to your actual survival and what is ultimately the wisest course of action.

In other words, it will help you assess whether there's a tiger in the room, or whether what you are seeing is merely the shadow of a couch?
First of all, take a deep breath...or two or three...
Breathing is good! It gives you a moment of waiting, as well as providing more oxygen to the brain to help with mental clarity.
Next, take a metaphorical, or actual, step away from the situation. Give yourself some room (and some time) to look at things in a broader scope, to see the whole picture rather than just the part that is scaring the dickens out of you.
Now, count to three, or four, or ten...whatever is required to stop your head from spinning, and to allow you to plant yourself firmly in time and space. Make sure you are sitting in the middle of the present moment in time.
Finally, ask yourself three questions:
  1. What will most likely happen if I do nothing?
  2. Is it just my feelings that are hurt? Is this perhaps an emotional affront to my sense of who I am and how I believe I deserve to be treated?
  3. What other options might there be for handling the situation, rather than fight, flight, or freeze?
Bingo!
That's where using your interpersonal skills of communication, emotional intelligence, collaboration, compromise, working on win/win solutions, etc. come in!
Give it a try!
You'll be amazed how much your relationships will improve and how much closer you can feel to people in you life when you no longer act as if many of them are out to get you, and when your reactions are kept in check sufficiently so that you feel more in charge of how you respond to situations in your life!

How To Create More Money FAST

Do you ever find yourself thinking, "I know I should be making more money"... and yet it just isn't showing up? There's a level of income you're trying to create, but the universe seems to be on its own slower-than-slow timeline. You wonder whether you're putting blocks in your own path, or exactly what's happening?

Riley Diess is a decorated veteran turned motivational speaker. She has a natural talent for inspiration, and whenever she delivers a keynote speech, people are lined up for blocks to talk to her. With her rave reviews, and stellar referrals, she wonders, "I honestly couldn't work any harder, or any more diligently! But isn't there a way to make this money-thing go faster? Am I somehow blocking my own success?"
A lack of revenue could be for a million reasons... from our marketing message to our advertising budget to the employees we engage. It could also be from outside forces, like the market conditions we experienced back in 2008 and 2009.
If we're freelancing for other companies, a lack of a strong income could be from economic conditions like election years or foreign policy concerns... or it could come from something closer to home like mismanagement or a lack of vision of the company we work for... it could even be that we're under-qualified or over-qualified as compared to other freelancers or competitors.
So a lack of revenue can get down to a number of different reasons. But underneath it all, there's really only one reason we don't have affluence:
It's because we're focused on LACK.
If we're thinking about what we don't have, that vibration of what we don't have creates our reality.
The more we focus on prosperity thinking, the more prosperity will find its way to us. That's about as simple as it gets! This is what Riley started doing quite successfully, and you can too. (In this podcast episode, we'll even learn how to hold on to the "bigness" of a money goal, but not create a vibrational barricade to receiving it.)
Suggestion: When you're feeling stuck, it's never the situation that has you stuck... it's your energy that's become stuck, by the trigger of negative emotions that can come from past situations or events.

In other words, it isn't the pain of the situation; it's the pain of not being connected in the natural energy of who you really are... of being connected to that magical part of you that's a creative vibrational being who can use positive energies to create what you want and bring it into physical manifestation. Part of this process is to allow your manifestations to materialize, and not get stuck in the negative vibrations that block them.

The Gravitational Pull of ANTs, WORMS & FEARS

What is an ANT?
An ANT is an acronym for Automatic Negative Thoughts.
What is a WORM?
A WORM is a metaphor for deep-seated, unconscious beliefs that lye dormant in our consciousness analogous to a computer virus that only activates when a certain button is pushed on our keyboard.
What is a FEAR?
A FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real; an optical illusion that makes you believe it is impossible to move beyond this point so why even try. FEAR is a lie!
ANTs are pre-conscious thoughts, beliefs, ideas that keep us trapped in our comfort zone. They exist to stop us from moving to far ahead of our current environment. They cause us to become uncomfortable with our potential and possibility.
They exist to keep us in a holding pattern where we don't act or do anything to better ourselves. They keep us stagnated and stifled. They cause us to sabotage our good.
WORMS are much stronger than ANTs and are more insidious and pervasive. If we are focused, we can overcome an ANT with sheer will power, but will power up against a WORM [deep seated, dominant belief] is like one soldier up against an entire army. A WORM will destroy will power and we will automatically sabotage our life and act in a manner consistent with our dominant beliefs.

For instance, we might have an ANT that says, "I'm not good enough to be with this person." If we force our way through that automatic negative thought using shear will power and continue to stay in the relationship, the ANT may be crushed but then the WORM will appear and may say, "You ARE NOT good enough to be with that person so why are you trying - LOSER!" At that moment when the unconscious, dominant belief has you in its grips, you will begin to slowly or abruptly (depending on frequency) sabotage the relationship in some shape, form or fashion.

The Law of Attraction
The law of attraction simply means that you attract in life what you are not what you want and what you are is what you think about when you are not thinking about anything. The law of attraction states who you are - your dominant beliefs and unconscious thoughts; i.e., DNA (see SHOCKphilosophy(TM) Principle #4) -- ANTs, WORMS and FEARS.

I am sure you have heard the term, like attracts like. It's the reason why rich people hang out with rich people and poor people hang out with poor people. What we must be mindful of is our DNA programming is designed not to go outside of its comfort zone for extended periods of time. With that said, it's understandable why we feel uncomfortable when we are around something or someone we have never been exposed to that stretches us, challenges us to be more, do more and having more.

So it is our DNA programming; ANTs, WOMRS, and FEARS that keep us locked into this vicious cycle that gives the illusion of progression when in fact we are on auto-repeat; just standing still. We then attract people, places and things in our life to confirm this process and keep us in a holding pattern.

The law of attraction is so powerful that if you had two pianos in different rooms and struck the c-note on the first piano the other piano's c-chord would be vibrating as well. The law of attraction is gravitational which is why in order to move to the next quantum or level in life we must first move and expand our consciousness so that we can attract a different outcome.

In order to move from one gravitational pull to another, we must become comfortable with being uncomfortable, face our ANTs, WORMS and FEARS and learn how to handle next level thinking. When you expand consciousness, expand spiritually, emotionally and psychologically, you automatically move into another vibration or gravitational pull. You will also bring along with you for the ride and new set of ANTs, WORMS and FEARS whose soul purpose is to push or pull you to yet another level by making your current level content and hopefully unconformable.

This is why it is so very important and necessary to learn how to neutralize your ANTs, WORMS and FEARS because it causes you to move in quantum steps verses minute steps. You shorten your learning curve and lesson your barriers to entry at the next level in life when you confront the DNA programming that is keeping you where you are - within the Gravitational Pull of ANTs, WORMS & FEARS.
